Job Description
- We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide variety of general maintenance, repair, and light construction tasks in both commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently or as part of a small team.
- What you will do: You will enjoy and be good at interacting with clients, tenants, and team members with excellent customer service.
- You will perform general repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, and basic electrical. along with troubleshoot and repairing building systems as needed.
- You may assist in any small remodeling and tenant improvement projects while operating hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Completing work orders and service requests in a timely, professional manner will be required.
- You will also transport, load, and unload materials as required wile maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and simple blueprints.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and be able to use some of your existing tool set.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of handyman, facilities maintenance, or construction experience (commercial or residential).
