• Position: MS Girls Head Basketball Coach

• Season Dates: December 2, 2026 through February 1, 2027
• Adventure Christian School is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach to lead our girls basketball program. This position is an excellent opportunity for a coach who enjoys teaching the game, developing young athletes, and creating a positive experience that encourages girls to continue playing basketball.
• At the middle school level, our focus is on fundamental skill development, teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship, and preparing athletes for the next level of the ACS Basketball program.
• Primary Responsibilities: Plan and lead age-appropriate basketball practices.
• Coach all scheduled middle school games.
• Teach fundamental skills including ball handling, passing, shooting, footwork, defense, and team concepts.
• Create a positive environment where athletes can learn, compete, and grow.
• Develop players for future participation in the Adventure Christian High School basketball program.
• Maintain clear communication with players, parents, and the Athletic Department.
• Promote sportsmanship, accountability, teamwork, effort, and character.
• Provide appropriate supervision at practices, games, and team activities.
• Represent Adventure Christian School and its Christian mission in a positive and professional manner.
• Assist with uniforms, equipment, game-day responsibilities, and other program needs as necessary.

Qualifications

Previous basketball playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should have a basic understanding of basketball fundamentals and, most importantly, an ability to teach, encourage, and connect with middle school athletes. We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient, energetic, and excited about building the girls basketball program at ACS.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires moderate physical exertion associated with the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or climb.
• Position requires physical capability for sustained physical work, requires strength and endurance associated with moderate physical effort.
• Position requires moderate physical effort while performing continuous moderate lifting.
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum or carrying an object up to 25 lbs.
