Major duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION. Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the UNIT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER, GS-0301-9, is to function as the Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), responsible for executing, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of personnel and equipment readiness and deployment planning in support of Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN) requirements. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
Qualifications
UNIT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER, GS-0301-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level experience in: planning, organizing, and overseeing all unit level deployment activities; Experience reviewing deployment documents to identify personnel and equipment taskings; Experience maintaining deployment equipment readiness.
