About the role
We are seeking motivated Heavy Civil Laborers to perform manual tasks including loading, unloading, heavy lifting, digging, operating heavy machinery, moving of materials, clean and prepare construction sites.
- Assemble, connect, and construct pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
- Dig trenches, back fill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using shovels, picks, rakes, compactors, back fill holes.
- Operate construction tools and equipment such as power tools, rollers, and skid loaders.
- Flagging traffic near, around, and in work zones.
- Assist with excavation, underground utilities, concrete work, and general site preparation duties.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work.
- Follow directions well and perform tasks accurately with attention to detail.
- Communicates well verbally to convey information effectively.
- Skilled in using hand tools and operating mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to climb on, off, and under various pieces of equipment, and physically access all parts of equipment.
- Able to physically lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk.
