Animal Doctors of South Tampa is looking for an experienced
Veterinary Technician
to join our team. We are a busy walk-in veterinary hospital serving the Tampa Bay area, providing wellness and vaccination care, urgent and critical care, dentistry, and surgery.
The ideal candidate is comfortable loading rooms, obtaining patient histories, drawing blood, running in-house laboratory work, and assisting with surgery. We are looking for someone who takes pride in patient care, makes client education a priority, works well with the veterinary team, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a supportive and collaborative hospital.
Requirements
Previous veterinary technician experience
required
Comfortable loading rooms and obtaining patient histories
Knowledge of standard veterinary equipment and procedures
Experience with blood draws and in-house laboratory work
Comfortable assisting with surgery and surgery recovery
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Strong client communication and education skills
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
Positive, supportive, and team-oriented attitude
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Willingness to continue learning and developing veterinary skills
Must be able to work a rotating Saturday schedule
