About the role

Description
St. John Paul II Catholic High School is in search of a part-time drumline group manager to assist the group's musical instructor in running the school's drumline. Ideal candidate will have experience working in music or in percussion, and specifically with the drumline.
The school fields a 15+ member drumline, that performs at athletic contests (football, volleyball, basketball primarily) and at many school and community events. The group is entering their 10th year of entertaining, and has a good foundation on which to build.
The instructor will lead once weekly rehearsals with the group after school (2 hours), focusing on technique and skill building, and the development of an 8 to 12 cadence repertoire. The manager will attend most practices and will coordinate the travel to and performances at all games, lead any additional rehearsal to perfect cadences (as needed) and will communicate, with direction from the instructor, with students and parents.
