Are you an experienced and passionate midwife looking to take the next step in your career?Do you have a keen interest in newborn care, clinical leadership and improving outcomes for babies and families?
The post holder will be responsible for providing a service that ensures that all babies born at Ashford and St Peters NHS Trust or at home have a Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) undertaken within 72 hours of birth and that we are compliant with national Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).The postholder will carry out daily NIPE clinics within the hospital setting and record the outcomes as per local requirements. The post holder will undertake NIPE clinics and roster the gaps to ensure a 7 days a week service is in operation (including bank holidays). The post holder will facilitate the development of all staff through teaching, update days and empowerment.
