Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

What You'll Do
Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
Carry out individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional performance
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, activities, and mobility training
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
Monitor and communicate patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care
Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
Contribute to the development and success of a new therapy program through teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin

Strong clinical and patient care skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Passion for helping patients improve mobility and achieve meaningful functional outcomes
Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team
Positive attitude and desire to help build a new therapy team
Skilled nursing, post-acute, or geriatric experience is helpful but not required
