TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform various agricultural tasks as directed by the supervisor according to standards; for example: pruning, planting, mowing, training trees, picking fruit, etc.
· Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform tasks which are often repetitive in nature.
· Follow company policies and procedures for employee and food safety.
Safety: Required to have a complete understanding of all the safety rules and practices and support ongoing safety training and efforts to eliminate unsafe conditions / acts.
Food Safety and GAP’s: Support the company food safety policy in all facets of work. Stay informed in what is required to meet audit standards and regulatory requirements for food growing / production.
Hours of operation and work environment: Required to work a flexible schedule including overtime as needed in busy seasons (such as periods of harvest). Work conditions are primarily outside, which includes exposure to different weather extremes and changing conditions.
Requirements
Work within an agriculture setting with 3 months of experience
Experience and prior training in safe operator of agricultural equipment
Must complete all company required training prior to beginning work (and thereafter on an ongoing basis).
