About the role

We’re looking for a Streaming Media & SDK Engineer who loves solving tough engineering challenges, squeezing every millisecond out of video playback, and making seamless streaming happen across Web, Android, and iOS. From low-latency playback and hardware-accelerated decoding to handling 16+ simultaneous video streams, you’ll build the core technology that makes it all work at scale.

If C/C++/Rust, streaming protocols, performance tuning, and making video just work are your kind of thing, we’d love to have you on the team. Less buffering, more building!

  • Design, develop, and optimize cross-platform video playback SDKs (Web, Android, and iOS) supporting video pipelines (HLS, FLV, and multipart JPEG).
  • Architect and implement shared core components handling network transport, stream demuxing, edge-local routing, session management, and QoE telemetry.
  • Collaborate within Agile delivery teams to engineer high-performance, multi-channel streaming solutions capable of scaling to 16+ concurrent video tiles.
  • Drive rigorous conformance testing, automated test fixtures, and performance optimization to ensure low time-to-first-frame (TTFF) and seamless playback experiences worldwide.
  • 5–7 years of experience building and delivering cloud-based services, applications, and SDKs in a CI/CD environment using containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Proven mastery of systems programming languages including C, C++ and/or Rust.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware-accelerated codecs and native platform decoding/rendering pipelines (WebCodecs, MediaCodec, VideoToolbox).
  • Deep familiarity with network and streaming transport protocols (UDP, TCP, RTP/RTCP, RTSP, HLS, and WebSockets).
  • Expertise in code and service optimization centered around multimedia memory management, latency reduction, and frame synchronization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to align with architects, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams.
