Work alongside the Specialist Podiatrist, Clinical Lead and wider healthcare professionals to provide seamless, safe and high-quality patient care.
Undertake specialist clinics as part of a clinical rotation and CPD programme, including Biomechanics, Wound Care and Nail Surgery clinics.
Autonomously assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions, using appropriate clinical assessment and diagnostic techniques.
Deliver specialist podiatric interventions including sharp debridement, local anaesthesia, calculation of maximum safe doses, nail surgery and the appropriate use of caustic treatments.
Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including GPs, Practice Nurses, Community Nursing, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and consultant-led secondary care teams, including Rheumatology and Diabetes.
Take an active role in planning and delivering health promotion, education and training across the service and Trust.
Promote the Podiatry Service to healthcare professionals and the wider community to support appropriate referrals and access to the service
Please note : This role involves a mix of clinic and domiciliary work , and the successful candidate will be required to undertake visits within patients' homes and clinic settings.
