ABOUT THE ROLE
Build the scientific workspace that helps scientists tackle harder problems in drug discovery. We believe every scientist developing new medicines should be able to use Chai’s models to make progress on their research.
- Work directly with scientists to understand their problems and decide what to build.
- Own the work from the first conversation through to a product they depend on, going as deep into the science, compute, models, research, and software as the problem requires.
- Work forward deployed with our customers, ship across the stack, and refine the product and its core abstractions as you learn.
ABOUT YOU
We look for engineers who can make sense of messy real-world problems and build simple solutions end to end. Former founders and engineers who have owned substantial products are a particularly good fit. Familiarity with the scientific domain is not required. We value technical depth, product judgment, and a record of building things that are meaningful and useful to people.
