We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated
Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Christchurch Medical
Practice on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, working 20 hours
per week.
Delivering assessment, screening, treatment services and health promotion advice.
Undertaking vaccinations, immunisations and injections in accordance with national guidance and local policy.
Performing venepuncture, specimen collection, ECGs, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, FeNo and other diagnostic procedures within scope of practice.
Supporting patients with long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD and or diabetes.
Providing wound care, leg ulcer management and compression therapy following appropriate training and competency assessment.
Undertaking cervical screening and supporting sexual health and contraception services where competent to do so.
Assisting GPs with minor surgery and other clinical procedures.
Promoting self-care and providing lifestyle advice, including smoking cessation and health improvement interventions.
Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with NMC standards, practice policies and national guidelines.
Supporting infection prevention and control, safeguarding responsibilities and health and safety requirements.
Contributing to Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) delivery and service development initiatives.
