Responsibilities
In your role at Community Health Partners - Neuroscience Institute, you will:
- Assist the practice physician(s) and patients by coordinating and tracking insurance authorizations and referrals for outside testing or specialty care.
- Submit referral activity reports to supervisor for review and follow-up if necessary.
- Coordinate and communicate with various insurance carriers to obtain necessary pre-authorization for patients to receive necessary services.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Certificate required
Experience
- 4 years of healthcare clerical/administrative support experience required
- Prior experience with referrals and authorizations required
