About the role
Description
As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of instruction when our regular teachers are unavailable. You will be responsible for following lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Ensure that all students are engaged in learning.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
Adhere to school policies and procedures.
Facilitate, collaborate and communicate between classroom teachers and special education liaisons regarding the needs of the students served.
Participation in provided job related training.
Assistance and supervision at lunch.
Requirements
Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Teaching certification or substitute teacher certification.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to different grade levels and subjects.
Flexibility and reliability.
