Salary: £32557.00 to £39631.00
An opportunity has arisen within the acute Paediatric Wards/Children's Outpatient Department at Prince Charles Hospital .
Take responsibility for the ward, for a span of duty, on a shift by shift basis in the absence of the ward manager/deputy sister.
Work as a skilled member of the team and to provide high standards of holistic care to the child and family in a variety of settings.
Be an effective team leader and role model to new/less experienced staff and others.
Work as a flexible member of the ward team in support of the senior members of the team.
Assess plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in conjunction with the multi disciplinary team.
To ensure that treatment prescribed by the medical staff is carried out, and that multi-disciplinary team members are informed of changes in the patients' treatment and condition.
To assist in the safety of the ward environment, actively participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues including reporting and incidents.
