JOB TITLE: Quality Control Technician I
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Control Technician supports our expanding production. A focus on reducing cost, improving manufacturability, quality, and decreasing cycle times.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 year of experience working in quality
At least 1 year of experience utilizing MS Office to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reports
PREFERRED SKILLS
Functional understanding of ISO9001/AS9100
Enthusiastic, energetic, sense of urgency, with a track record of setting goals and achieving them
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to utilize other inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, dial calipers, and CMMs
CORE DUTIES
Perform precision inspection/verification on machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials
First Article inspection, in process, and final inspection of parts and materials for workmanship, and conformance to specifications and drawings
Record and report inspection process and results
Communicate with machine operators & supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering, and manufacturing challenges
Help to determine inspection procedures to ensure complete verification of specifications and dimensions
Interpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheets necessary to verify conformity
Obtain necessary fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance with specifications and prescribed tolerances
Other duties as assigned
HOURS
1st shift position
Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
