Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
Collaborate with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
Follow all food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent cross-contamination
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry or restaurant environment
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and servers
Prior experience in catering, menu planning, or food service is highly desirable
