We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised Medical
Secretary to join our friendly and supportive team at Fell Tower Medical Centre, working 25 hours per week.
The Medical Secretary will provide comprehensive
administrative and secretarial support to the clinical team, ensuring the
efficient processing of referrals, correspondence and patient information. The
role involves liaising with hospitals and other healthcare providers,
maintaining accurate patient records, processing information requests, managing
incoming communications and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the
practice while maintaining strict confidentiality. The post holder will also
provide administrative support to clinicians and assist the reception team when
required.
The Medical Secretary will provide a high-quality,
patient-focused secretarial and administrative service to support the clinical
team at Fell Tower Medical Centre. The post holder will be responsible for the
management of referrals, clinical correspondence and patient-related
documentation, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and in
a timely manner. Key duties include processing referrals through the NHS
Electronic Referral Service (e-RS), liaising with hospitals and community
healthcare providers, maintaining accurate patient records, processing
information requests such as Subject Access Requests and insurance reports, and
managing incoming telephone and email enquiries. The successful candidate will
work closely with clinicians and colleagues to support the effective day-to-day
running of the practice whilst maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.
