What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an HR Generalist who can take ownership of day-to-day HR while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a hands-on role covering onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee support. The environment is fast paced, so being organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities is key.

What you’ll be doing

Onboarding & New Hires

  • Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and new hire paperwork
  • Lead weekly new hire orientation

Benefits & Leave

  • Manage benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Administer LOA and FMLA, including tracking and documentation
  • Handle workers’ compensation claims and coordination
  • Support employees with benefits-related questions
  • Maintain accurate data in Paylocity and Employee Navigator, and support 401(k) plan administration (Principal)

Payroll (Weekly)

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Review timecards, catch issues, and resolve before payroll runs
  • Partner with supervisors on missed punches, approvals, and corrections
  • Respond to payroll-related questions

HR Operations

  • Maintain employee records and keep everything organized and up to date
  • Process status changes, verifications, and general HR transactions
  • Support reporting, audits, and compliance needs
  • Ensure alignment with company policies and employment regulations

What you need

  • 5+ years of hands-on HR experience
  • Experience with an HRIS/payroll system (Paylocity strongly preferred)
  • Experience across core HR functions: FMLA/LOA, workers’ compensation, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Advanced Excel skills — able to pull reports, work with data, and support reporting needs across the business
  • Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Reliable, responsive, and someone who follows through
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
