Wyndham Bloomington MOA Hotel is seeking Bartenders who enjoy being a part of a team, are hard-working, have a positive -can do attitude and strive to deliver exceptional customer service! Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES & POSITION PURPOSE
- To deliver a great guest experience while preparing beverages in a timely manner.
- Essential Functions: - Bartender
- Greet guest pleasantly as they approach the bar; promote house drinks and use up-selling skills to increase revenues.
- Prepare beverages requested by guests using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guest and to control costs.
- Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to a guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired conditions of guests. Check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable.
- Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or MOD.
- Interact with guests pleasantly during shift.
- Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies
- Performs routine daily tasks as set forth in the daily checklist.
- Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during and at close of shift.
- Supportive Functions: Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience.
- Any other tasks as requested by direct supervisor or other hotel management staff.
Requirements
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees and guests.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
- Our hotel functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
