Description
- Accurately assess and perform basic nursing procedures required for all patients, include Emergency Room. Report changes in patient status to physician and other appropriate personnel.
- Teach patients/families health promotion and maintenance, including pre- and post-operative care.
- Initiate emergency care per department policy.
- Assist physician with examinations, procedures, rounds and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Prepare and document administration of medications - rectal, topical, oral and parenteral - according to department policy.
- Cooperates with other personnel and physician to achieve department objectives and maintain the standard of care of each department.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas
