About the role
The Engineering & Maintenance Assistant helps maintain vessels, facilities, vehicles, and equipment. This entry-level position is designed for someone interested in mechanics, engineering, construction, maintenance, or other skilled trades.
Typical duties may include
- Assisting experienced employees with routine maintenance
- Organizing tools, equipment, and replacement parts
- Cleaning machinery and work areas
Helping perform equipment inspections
Recording basic maintenance information
Assisting with preventative maintenance
- Helping troubleshoot simple equipment problems
- Learning the proper use of hand and power tools
- Reporting damaged or unusual equipment conditions
- Following workplace and equipment safety procedures
Qualifications
Applicants should enjoy hands-on work, be willing to learn, follow safety instructions carefully, and be comfortable working around machinery. Previous mechanical experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 10–20 hours per week.
Starting Pay
$22.00 per hour.
