INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Machining Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
Laser/Fabrication Attendant – Performs functions associated with the loading of sheets of metal and steel beams and unloading of cut parts as required from Laser/Ficept Machines.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
- a) Assist machine operator in loading sheets of metal and/or steel beams and unloading cut parts.
- b) May include locating and grinding appropriate parts to specified instructions.
- c) Make sure all parts have part numbers visible and legible condition.
- d) Housekeeping in laser machine area and removal of debris from area.
- e) Operate in compliance with Basic Processes and Work Instructions.
- f) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
Requirements
- REQUIREMENTS: a) Ability to work with mechanical tools and equipment.
- b) Ability to read and write legible.
- c) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and bend, stoop and reach and pull with full motion unrestricted.
- d) Prior experience helpful, but not necessary.
- e) Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time.
- b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
