Key Skills You’ll Use or Learn
Paving & Surface Work
Operate or assist with asphalt pavers, rollers, and other equipment
Help install smooth, durable asphalt surfaces for driveways, roads, parking lots, and more
Site Prep & Layout
Set up job sites safely and efficiently
Assist in grading, drainage setup, and preparing gravel foundations before paving
Attention to Detail
Help ensure all paving meets quality standards and project specifications
Work on both residential and commercial jobs—including schools, parks, athletic tracks, and subdivisions
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with a crew and foreman to get the job done right
Follow directions clearly and communicate effectively with others on-site
P hysical Work & Safety
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Ability to lift, carry, and work on your feet for long periods
- Follow all safety guidelines to keep yourself and your team safe
