Job Summary
The Kitchen Utility Employee plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment while supporting deli operations. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, from equipment cleaning and food prep to inventory handling and assisting team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and committed to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including fryers, coolers, and food prep areas
- Receive, check in, and properly store deliveries from vendors
- Rotate product to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation, including battering products for the steam table line
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and storage areas
- Support deli operations and assist with other team member duties as needed
- Follow all safety, health, and company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or deli experience (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
