Job Summary
Seeking a Software Engineer to support a software development effort using Java as the primary programming language
The team operates in an Agile development environment to assign, track, and manage software activities and requirements
This position provides an opportunity to expand Java development skills while working with modern technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces
The ideal candidate is a collaborative software engineer who can contribute across design, development, installation, testing, and quality activities in support of mission requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using Java
Participate in Agile software development activities, including requirements analysis, task planning, implementation, testing, and status tracking
Design and implement complex algorithms while adhering to strict timing, system resource, and interface constraints
Perform quality control reviews of software products developed by the team
Implement recommendations for improving software documentation and development process standards
Collaborate with team members and the customer to derive software requirements and understand project limitations, system capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
Develop and maintain software that meets documented technical and operational requirements
Coordinate software system installation activities
Monitor system and equipment functions to ensure operational specifications are met
Support troubleshooting, software integration, and problem resolution activities
Develop and maintain technical and software documentation
Participate in peer reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree
Experience designing or implementing complex algorithms with timing, resource, or interface constraints
Experience performing software quality control or peer review activities
Experience supporting software installation, integration, and operational validation
Experience working with customers or technical stakeholders to derive and refine software requirements

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
