Compensation: $22.00/hr to $30.00/hr DOE
Monroe Health Center is seeking a versatile and compassionate
Radiologic Technologist / Laboratory Assistant
to join our clinical team at the Craig County Health Center in New Castle, VA. This dual-role position supports both diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, ensuring efficient, accurate, and patient-focused care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving a diverse patient population in a rural setting.
Radiologic Technologist Duties
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays) in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient imaging records
- Collaborate with providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results
Laboratory Assistant Duties
- Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws
- Process, label, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport
- Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted
- Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and cleanliness according to regulatory standards
- Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent accredited program)
Current ARRT certification
State licensure as required
Phlebotomy experience
- Basic laboratory experience or training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting
- Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week - No Weekends
