Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Band 7 Clinical Lead Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Mental Health and Wellness Team South (MHWT South). This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled nurse to provide clinical leadership and support the delivery of safe, effective and recovery focused care within a busy and supportive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
The post holder must be a registered mental health nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), extensive community mental health experience and excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills. They will lead the Access and Triage function, ensuring referrals are reviewed promptly, risks are identified and managed effectively, and people are directed to the most appropriate service or intervention.
The Clinical Lead will provide senior clinical oversight, professional advice and visible leadership to the wider team. They will support staff with complex assessments, risk management, care planning, safeguarding and clinical decision making, while ensuring that practice is person centred, trauma informed and focused on recovery.
