About the role
Salary: £14.00 to £15.00
We are looking to employ a part time qualified Health Care Assistant to work within our busy and friendly GP surgery. The successful candidate will work within our clinical team made up of nurses and GPs.Pay will be dependant upon experience and can be discussed during the interview. There is some flexibility with the hours we are looking for 30 hours per week, 6 hours per day Monday to Friday to be discussed at interview.

ECG Recording
Blood Pressure Readings
Urinalysis
Ensure specimens are labelled and bagged ready for collection with the necessary paperwork completed.
Ensure clinical waste collection runs smoothly, reporting any problems to the Practice Nurse.
Ensure sharps bins are ready for collection.
Restocking/arranging maintenance of equipment.
Restocking of clinical areas and consulting rooms.
Chaperoning duties
- Assisting the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
- Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
- Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
- Provide lifestyle advice to patients making any necessary referrals within the practice.
- Home visiting housebound patients for reviews and blood tests if required.
Health Promotion
Long term condition management
Assisting with specialist clinics for example Coil appointments and Minor surgery as required.
Maintain stocks and supplies within the practice.
Emergency equipment checks.
Flu and B12 vaccinations
