Princess Alexandra Hospitalhave an exciting opportunity for a Medical
Engineering Technician at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. The
service supports all hospital wards and departments across our sites in Harlow,
Bishops Stortford, and Epping. You will be expected to work across these sites
as required by the service to ensure the reliability and safety of critical
medical equipment.
As a EBME Engineer, you will be responsible for the
maintenance, calibration, and repair of a wide range of electrical and
biomedical equipment used throughout the Trust. You will support clinical staff
in the effective and safe use of medical devices, troubleshoot technical
issues, implement software updates, and utilise IT systems to monitor and
manage equipment performance. The role requires strong technical expertise,
excellent problem-solving skills, and knowledge of industry standards and
compliance requirements, including ISO 9001:2011. You will be expected to work
flexibly across multiple sites, contributing to the efficient operation of the
medical equipment library and participating in service improvement initiatives.
