North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics.
The Specialty Doctor is responsible to the Consultants in Community Paediatrics. In his/her work, the jobholder liaises with other healthcare professionals within and outside of Community Paediatric team in day-to-day care for paediatric patients and their families.
Assess, diagnose and manage children and young people with developmental, behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and complex health needs in community settings
Run community paediatric clinics for developmental concerns, neurodisability and chronic health conditions under consultant supervision and within agreed competences.
Contribute to neurodevelopmental assessments for autism spectrum disorder in line with current pathways.
Undertake initial health assessments for looked after children and support care planning.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide medical advice and support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including contribution to educational health and care plans (EHCP)
Maintain accurate clinical records, prepare reports, and contribute to statutory documentation and professional communication.
Participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvements, and service developmental activities.
Support teaching, supervision, and training of junior colleagues and contribute ti continuing professional development.
