We are seeking to appoint
up to 8 WTE Consultants in Emergency Medicine
to join our established consultant body. These posts are funded as we are transition to an increasingly Consultant delivered service.
The clinical work comprises the receipt, resuscitation, initial treatment, and diagnosis of undifferentiated emergency attendees presenting 24 hours per day to a modern Emergency Department. In these fixed-term roles, there will be a particular emphasis on providing
enhanced senior consultant presence into weekday evenings (Monday-Friday)
, to support patient flow and safe decision-making at times of peak demand.
Job plans will vary based on the total PAs offered. The recommend post is 10PAs, these are split 7.5 DCC / 2.5 SPA. It is possible to work up to 12PAs per week incorporating one day with no hospital commitments and 1:14 on-call with prospective cover.
