We are seeking a
Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Assistant (Certified or Non-Certified)
, also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele Nursing Assistant. The Med-Surg/Tele/PCU Nursing Assistant provides basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.
Responsibilities
** If you are a non-licensed Nursing Assistant (NA) or a Certified (CNA) and have no prior experience, we encourage you to apply. Entry-Level NAs or CNAs are welcome to apply!
Basic patient care
help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
Vital signs monitoring
take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation
Mobility assistance
help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices.
EKG lead maintenance
ensure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning — though Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA’s) don't usually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off and immediately alert registered nurses
