About the role
Pay: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour
Description PrimeCare Medical Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work in the medical department at the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis, MD. Available Shifts:
Part-time Day Shift (7a-7:30p and every other weekend)
Job Responsibilities:
Initial intake screening on new receptions
Taking vital signs and completing all appropriate intake forms
Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas for the facility
Performing daily medication passes.
Maintaining medication records
Typing of various reports, letters, and memoranda
Answering telephone and process calls
Maintaining the filing system and confidentiality of information at all times
Following universal precautions at all times
Maintaining a pleasant working attitude
Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated
This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

(Please note that the pay range is not a sliding scale based on experience; it reflects the base pay as well as the differentials offered between shifts.)
Requirements
Must have completed an approved Certified Medication Technician program.
Currently hold a Medication Technician Certification, which is valid in the state where the facility is located.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills
Pleasant telephone manner
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Can work effectively in a lock facility
