About the role
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills
- Has experience of working with children, preferably within a primary school setting
- Can support pupils effectively within the classroom and through individual and small-group work
- Can follow guidance from teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning
- Understands how to scaffold learning while encouraging pupils to become increasingly independent
- Can build positive and supportive relationships with children
- Is calm, patient and able to respond positively to pupils with a range of additional needs
- Has good communication skills and can work effectively with staff, pupils and families
- Is organised, flexible and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
