We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Accredited Clinical Coder who is self-motivated and competent in accurately coding multiple complex specialties. As well as understanding the need for high quality coded data to support healthcare planning, reimbursement, management of services, statistical analysis, and research.The trust is looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. The role will require you to work to strict deadlines, whilst still paying attention to detail and always maintaining a high level of accuracy.
The Qualified Clinical Coding Officer is responsible for meeting essential trust requirements for statutory information and financial flows through abstracting and analysing complex and sensitive clinical information from a variety of source documentation and translating this into coded form in line with National Clinical Coding Standards using ICD10 and OPCS4 Classifications.
