SMG seeks a Local Safety Advisor - Owner's Rep in Lebanon, Indiana.
The key function is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible regarding change and travel.
Additional Information
SMG full-time, benefited Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
Annual pay/merit review/increase.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
Provide project safety support on behalf of the Owner and the Owner's representative
Coach and influence the safe execution of procedures and work plans
Support the project with safety management services to support a safe work environment
Support the client's OCIP program
Oversee contractor safety
Requirements
5+ years of safety experience
5+ years of general industry experience
Contractor safety experience
Experience with OCIP programs and working in laboratory environments
A degree in Safety or related fields is preferred
Knowledge of insurance requirements
Experience representing owners on a project
Physical Demands of the job may include:
Moving about long distances
Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
Working in extreme weather
Being exposed to loud noises
Wearing personal protective gear correctly
