Applications are invited for a full-time locum consultant gynaecologist post (Gynaecological Cancer Unit Specialist) for 12 months.
This post is developed to complement the existing consultants, expand and strengthen the skilled workforce, and meet the sustained growth of gynaecological service demands and gynaecological cancer NHS targets. Demand for gynaecology services has increased due to rising referrals, population change, and delayed care. This post will help increase capacity of gynaecological cancer services across outpatients, procedures and theatres, reducing waiting times and clinical risk.
This post is hosted by Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust. The post-holder is expected to work flexibly on three sites, including Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), City Health Campus and Sandwell Health Campus.
