About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Concrete Estimator to be based in our Dallas office. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating our Concrete division projects. Job Duties
- Estimating new c oncrete construction and concrete repair projects
- Start up, takeoff, review specifications of plans
- for Concrete Division
- Provide accurate and detailed estimates to achieve profitable work from clients
- Complete takeoffs from plan, specifications and quantitative bids
- Contact customers for takeoff questions
- Attend weekly meetings to discuss bid schedule
- Jobsite walkthroughs; site visits may be required when needed
- Assist in any form of estimating procedure to help success of company
- Develop and manage schedules in collaboration with Production & Estimating leadership
- Work closely with in-house Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals
- Ability to develop customers and maintain customer relationships
- Take part in preplanning and ensuring project execution
- A ttend in-house project meetings
- Communicate with General Contractors, Vendors, Subcontractors, and Management Staff
Other duties as assigned
Office hours are M-F 7am-4pm
Job Requirements & Preferred Skills
3+ years of experience in construction estimating
Strong knowledge of OST, Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel
Concrete specific estimating preferred
Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to read and understand plans
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in converting & editing documents
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
