About the role
Description
Sher Edling seeks a Senior IT Support Specialist to join our IT team and provide Level 1-3 technical support to attorneys and staff. The position is responsible for independently diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, connectivity, and user-support issues, while assisting the IT Manager with systems administration, security, infrastructure, technology projects, and ongoing improvements to the Firm’s IT environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Manage daily Help Desk requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, laptops, mobile devices, and other technology issues.
- System Administration: Support the Firm’s IT infrastructure, devices, and cloud services; assist with system maintenance, audits, performance monitoring, and improvements.
- User Support & Training: Set up technology for new employees and provide onsite and remote support. Assist with employee training on technology, software, and IT best practices.
Security & Compliance
Assist with maintaining the security of the Firm's systems and data by following and implementing established security protocols, monitoring potential vulnerabilities, and escalating security concerns to the IT Manager.
IT Projects: Assist the IT Manager with technology projects, including system upgrades, software deployments, infrastructure improvements, and other Firm-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or a minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Support.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows, iOS, and common software applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to respond, manage change, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Annual compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000, depending on experience.
