Job Description

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of Nebraska’s veterans? The Nebraska Department of Labor is seeking a motivated, community-minded professional to serve as a Reemployment Coordinator - Veterans' Representative in a unique consolidated role combining duties of both the Local Veterans' Employment Representative (LVER) and the Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist.

This role supports both employer engagement and direct service to veterans, especially those facing barriers to employment. This person must be extremely self-motivated, proactive, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, independent role and takes initiative to support both veterans and employers. They must be able to build strong, trusting relationships with both job seekers and businesses and be comfortable engaging with a wide range of individuals.

The ideal candidate must be a U.S. military veteran who is passionate about connecting others with resources, building relationships with employers, and delivering strong case management support.
