Overview
C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center (Bay Pines VAMC) is seeking multiple
Clinical Dietetic Technicians (CDTs)
to provide onsite nutrition and food service support in a hospital setting.
Position Details
Location: Bay Pines VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, FL
Work Type: Full-time, Onsite
Labor Category: Health Technician (Dietetic)
Schedule
- Rotating shifts, 7 days/week (including holidays)
- Day: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Evening: 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Tray assembly and meal delivery
Diet order processing
Support therapeutic diet implementation
Collaborate with clinical staff
Ensure compliance with VA dietary guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
DTR Certification
, OR
Bachelor’s degree or 24+ semester hours in a nutrition-related field
Required Experience & Skills
- Hospital food service experience (tray line, delivery, diet orders)
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets: IDDSI, Renal, Diabetic, Cardiac, MNT
- Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
