St Augustine's Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant. This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027; however, there is a high probability that the contract will be extended. As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support in the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and eager to begin or continue a career in education.
Working under the direct supervision of the class teacher, you will assist with day-to-day classroom activities, support pupils with their learning, and help maintain a safe and orderly environment. Your duties may include preparing resources, supporting individual or small group work, and encouraging pupils to stay focused and confident in their learning.
You’ll also play a valuable role in promoting good behaviour, helping with classroom routines, and supporting the social and emotional development of pupils. Strong communication skills, patience, and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.
