About the role

Responsibilities

Technica Corporation is seeking highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer, Senior.  We are seeking an Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role combines Azure architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, and security remediation. You will work closely with development and operations teams to modernize infrastructure, strengthen security posture, and support key migration efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure, including compute, network, and storage services.
  • Modernize the infrastructure repository by bringing unmanaged Azure resources into source control and refactoring IaC (primarily PowerShell).
  • Automate deployments and operational workflows using Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting.
  • Analyze and remediate Azure scan findings, focusing on critical and high‑priority issues to meet security and compliance standards.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on Azure best practices.
  • Configure CI/CD pipelines.

The position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,800 – $147,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. • Experience with cloud security remediation, compliance, and governance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
