We are looking for an experienced Water Technician to join our Estates team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, reliable and effective hospital environment.
This is a key role focused on ensuring the safety, compliance and operational effectiveness of the hospital's water systems. Working within a busy healthcare environment, you will play a critical part in maintaining patient safety through effective water hygiene management and Legionella control.
Maintaining domestic hot and cold water systems, including tanks, calorifiers, booster pumps, TMVs and pipework.
Carrying out water hygiene monitoring, temperature checks, flushing regimes, outlet descaling and disinfection.
Managing reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance across the estate.
Supporting the Water Safety Plan and Legionella compliance program
- Assisting with Legionella risk assessments and action management.
- Maintaining accurate compliance records using CAFM systems.
- Liaising with specialist contractors and water treatment providers.
- Participating in the Estates on-call rota.
