Overview
AUSTIN, TX —
The sweetest first-time moms are seeking an experienced, long-term FULL-TIME NANNY to care for their baby arriving in November 2026, with a second child expected in March (a second caregiver will join the household for that child upon arrival). This is a full-time, long-term role beginning around November 24, 2026. Flexibility around baby’s arrival is important.
This is a loving, easygoing household looking for someone who brings genuinely good energy and becomes part of the family's rhythm long-term. They are open to candidates from out of state and are prepared to pay well above standard market rate to secure the right long-term fit.
The schedule is mainly Monday through Friday, roughly 8 am to 6 pm, with occasional weekend flexibility for date nights or family events. The family currently has a night nurse in place through a 6-month contract covering overnights (7pm-7am), so this role is focused on daytime care.
This is a live-out role while the family is based in Austin. The family spends July and August in Aspen each year,
with a possible additional month in California, and the nanny would live in during those stretches. Comfort with extended travel and periodic live-in arrangements is essential. Passport is a bonus, not required for this role.
The role includes all duties related to the baby's care, along with light household pickup and organization. The home includes a housekeeper who comes 4 days a week and two family assistants who are regularly present, so this role is focused on the baby and general tidiness rather than deep household management. Duties include all child-related duties and care. Comfort with the family's two golden retrievers is a must. Both parents work outside the home.
Newborn care experience is essential, ideally with formal NCS training or background. The family is looking for a mature, highly experienced candidate, 10+ years preferred, with a strong, verifiable reference history. Given the extensive travel and live-in periods required, the ideal candidate should be flexible with their lifestyle. The family is open to relocation assistance for the right candidate. An NDA will be required. Tdap, MMR, and RSV vaccinations are preferred.
The family is offering $50-55/hr gross, (target $130,000 annually) paid via payroll + PTO, sick days and a full coverage health insurance stipend, which will bring your annualized gross compensation closer to $150,000 annually.
Qualifications
Minimum Candidate Requirements
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field; alternatively, a completed associate degree specifically in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Five or more years of verifiable professional childcare experience
- Current infant and pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent professional and character references
- Ability to commit for at least one year unless applying for a temporary position
- Successful completion of all required background and driving-record checks
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record when driving is required
Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to accept legal W-2 employment through payroll
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, punctuality, and safe cellphone practices
- No smoking or vaping while working or around children
- Competent swimming ability when required by the position
- TrustLine registration or a current application in process for California placements
- Additional requirements may apply based on the family and position.
