Salary: To be paid on a casual basis
Purpose of the role
- To care for the children during the lunch time break including; effective supervision of children and supporting their learning through play by preparing, providing and overseeing suitable play activities in an appropriate environment.
- To supervise and support children at play ensuring their safety and access to learning.
- To encourage children to interact with others and engage in play activities.
- To establish good relationships with children, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
- To organise games/activities for groups of children, skipping, ball games etc during indoor and outdoor play.
- To communicate effectively with pupils and school staff.
- This job may be closed earlier than the closing date if we have a high uptake.
