About the role
Compensation: From $30/hr
Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician Level 2
The Opportunity:
Looking for a shop where good work gets noticed and skilled techs have a real path
forward? The Service Company has been family-owned since 1978, and we've grown
into one of the region's go-to names in heavy-duty truck repair — with locations across
Ohio. We didn't get here by accident. We got here by investing in our people.
We're hiring an experienced Diesel Technician at our Springfield location to join a crew
that takes pride in the work and looks out for each other. If you've got a
few
years of
experience
and you're ready to grow — we want to talk.
The Pay:
Top Industry Pay
: up to $40/hr for Level 2 technicians
Performance Bonus Program
: Techs can make up to $1000+ per month in
additional pay. This is not an unreachable program, most of our techs get a
bonus every single month.
Paid Vacation available Day 1
What You'll Be Doing
Independent Wrenching: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair advanced air
systems (compressors, dryers, valves), HVAC systems, and steering
components.
Bolt-On Components: Manifolds, turbos, water pumps, fan drives, and air
compressors.
Inspections & Alignments: Federal DOT inspections and accurate alignments
using our shop equipment.
Electrical Troubleshooting: Tracking down starting and charging issues —
alternators, batteries, starters.
Primary Systems: Brakes, wheel-end assemblies, drivelines, suspensions, and
tire service.
Where This Role Can Take You: We're not looking to plug a seat. We're looking for someone who wants to build
something here. That means:
Skill Development: Ongoing training on the systems and equipment you work
with every day — and the new ones coming down the pike.
Advancement Paths: Lead technician, shop foreman, specialty diagnostic roles,
training roles — we promote from within whenever we can.
Cross-Location Exposure: With multiple shops across the region, there's room
to grow geographically too, if that's what you want.
A Voice That Matters
Our best ideas come from the bay floor. We listen.
