About the role

Salary: £67325.00 to £76582.00

An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust for 3 Senior Clinical Fellows in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. These are permanent whole-time appointments, working primarily within our busy maternity and gynaecology department at the Royal Derby Hospital. We currently have 2 registrars on call from 8pm to 8am but will soon be increasing this to have a 3rd registrar on site at night, along with 2 Junior Clinical Fellow's. The increased medical workforce will ensure safer care for women and birthing people as well as providing a positive working environment/increased learning opportunities for our resident doctors.

The post holder will undertake clinical sessions with duties covering all areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. When on call during the daytime, the post holder will be included in the registrar on call rota covering Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The post holder will also participate in an emergency out of hours shift rota. It is anticipated that the post holder will work flexibly within the department with exposure to different sub-specialties.

This is a permanent Trust appointment. Successful applicants will be supported with educational supervision and appraisals to review progress. The trust is committed to the Eligibility and Permanency Framework (EPF).
